Sanctuary gets busy again in June 2026, but not in one tidy way. Diablo 4's third anniversary brings free cosmetics, boosted levelling, and more Treasure Goblins, while plenty of players are still trying to work out why their Torment progress has stalled. If you're farming gear, chasing glyph levels, or sorting through diablo 4 items during the event week, it helps to separate the confirmed anniversary bonuses from the usual endgame confusion.
The main anniversary event runs from June 2 to June 9, 2026. Mother's Blessing and March of the Goblins begin on June 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, so players in the UK and Europe are looking at evening start times. The free shop gifts start a little earlier, on June 1 at 12:00 p.m. PDT. Blizzard lists five weapon cosmetics: Blood Raven's Talon, King Kanai's Last Stand, Nangari Wounder, Overlord's Odium, and Flamefinger's Claws. They arrive daily, and all of them need to be claimed through the in-game Shop before June 9.
Mother's Blessing gives increased multiplicative XP on both Seasonal and Eternal realms. Blizzard doesn't give a clean percentage in the available event text, so it's safer not to call it double XP or anything higher. March of the Goblins means more Treasure Goblins across Sanctuary, though again, there's no official spawn-rate number. The returning Event Reputation Board also matters, because finishing its last rank grants the Regalia of the Sacred Creed. Some reports mention extra high-value loot, but unless Blizzard lists it directly, treat that as possible rather than promised.
The Artificer's Pit is still the place to push glyph upgrades and open higher Torment levels. You use the Artificer's Obelisk, most commonly in Cerrigar, then choose your unlocked Artificer Tier from the Pit menu. It sounds simple, but people miss the drop-down list or forget to scroll. Clearing the highest available tier unlocks the next five tiers. That doesn't mean every Torment level opens every five tiers, though. The more useful numbers from player support discussions put Torment 2 at Pit Tier 25, Torment 3 at Tier 40, and Torment 4 at Tier 55.
Pit progress isn't only about unlocking another difficulty badge. Glyph upgrades are one of the biggest power gains in the endgame, and higher Pit tiers improve your chances when upgrading them. If your glyph is low and the Pit tier is high enough, you may even get bonus ranks, which is great for catching up a fresh build. Still, don't be stubborn. A build that crawls through a high tier may be worse than one that clears a slightly lower tier quickly and safely. Damage, defence, movement, and boss speed all count here.
The anniversary rewards won't directly raise Artificer Tiers, and Blizzard hasn't said the Pit is getting any special event boost. Even so, the week is useful. Level an alt, farm Goblins, clean up Paragon points, and tighten your gear before pushing the next Pit threshold. If you're comparing drops or planning upgrades around Diablo 4 Items buy options, keep the focus on what helps your build clear faster rather than what only looks good in town.
